Larry Foley and Media Selections for Kranji Friday 27th July 2018.

Larry Foley and Media Selections for Kranji Friday 27th July 2018.

race 1: kranji stakes d (2) (set weights) - 1400m course e (sc) (turf track) time: 18:20 prize money: s$38000

3 - NOVA CLASSIC - Form better than most of these and can go forward and give a sight in company that suits.
2 - HOOGA NET - Won a weak maiden last start on the Poly (mile) when blinkers added but was even money and worth another look in this field.
1 - HANGMAN - Disappointing again last start but can lead, Course suits as does company. Keep safe.

race 2: restricted maiden (2) (2 and 3 year old) (weight for age) - 1400m course e (sc) (turf track) time: 18:50 prize money: s$85000

9 - CRACKING TOTTIE - Freshened and form from last race has held up. Big show with Duric from gate 4.
8 - STARDICE - Excuses not to go closer on debut and gets blinkers added so look for very forward showing.
6 - PADDINGTON - Another fancy drawn wide but trial good enough to think he can play a big part in this.

race 3: class 4 non premier - 1600m course e (sc) (turf track) time: 19:20 prize money: s$45000

8 - NORTHERN KNIGHT - Led from wide gate and looked the winner till late last start and expect much the same on a course that suits.
4 - PLATO - Last run better than the result given tough run and expect very forward showing here.
1 - REDOUBT - Form reads badly but appreciates first up run and subsequent trial (albeit) sans head-gear was good enough to expect forward showing.

race 4: restricted maiden (1) (2 and 3 year old) (weight for age) - 1400m course e (sc) (turf track) time: 19:50 prize money: s$85000

12 - ROYAL PAVILION - Race form terrible and drawn the car park but gets blinkers and trials with head-gear have been good enough to win a race with no weight.
4 - FORESTO - Overdue to break maiden status and drawn wide but can go forward and gets his chance on the E Course.
1 - BEAUTIFUL DAY - Led before fading with support last start over 1200m but course suits and can win on form prior.

race 5: class 5 - 1600m (polytrack) time: 20:20 prize money: s$20000

1 - BIG BANKER - In solid form in unsuitable races in better company than this and hard to beat in Class 5 this trip with gate 3 a bonus.
5 - EVIL SPEEDO - Maiden who has been running on well and gets blinkers added so worth serious thought.
3 - LET'S TALK NOW - Hasn't been seen over this trip for a while but ran on very well late last start and always a show on the Poly.

race 6: kranji stakes d (1) (set weights) - 1400m course e (sc) (turf track) time: 20:50 prize money: s$38000

11 - SUN EMPIRE - Drawn wide but will lead and hard to run down in this company on the E Course.
1 - JACKS SECRET - Form better than it reads and race suitable to go forward and win.
4 - HERO STAR - Jockey reported issues last start and work late suggesting he has more to offer in a race that suits.

race 7: kranji stakes b (set weights) - 2000m course e (sc) (turf track) time: 21:20 prize money: s$100000

5 - TARGET - Tested this trip on the turf and at this level but will lead and look the winner at some stage late.
12 - STAR JACK - Also broke through for first Singapore win last start and will be in this for a very long way.
4 - MCGREGOR - Drawn wide but in solid form, can race handy and 4kg claim certainly helps.

race 8: class 3 - 1200m (polytrack) time: 21:50 prize money: s$80000

4 - LORD O'REILLY - Took a while to wind up last start but charged late to score in this class over 1000m. Has won three of last five, should get a good run throughout and be hard to hold off over 1200m.
10 - ENCHANTED MISTER - Showed improvement last start and recent trial was strong. Has speed, may appreciate Poly but needs to overcome bad gate.
1 - DREAM COMES TRUE - Fought on well after tough run last start. Blinkers back on, suited this distance and can be in the finish.

race 9: class 4 non premier - 1200m course e (sc) (turf track) time: 22:20 prize money: s$45000

3 - ELISE - Has plenty of speed and will enjoy getting back on turf in this class. Suited by E Course and with 3kg claim should be hard to run down.
8 - YULONG XIONG BA - Has been struggling in higher class but recent trials have been good. Won twice at Mildura before arrival up to 1100m and might find this easier. Should get a good run throughout.
1 - HYDE PARK - Only battled last start but won this class and distance previous outing. Goes best when ridden forward but awkwardly drawn.

Go tell it to the to the marines

Do think about it and do think rationally, long and very hard about it - If you can genuinely tell me that you really know when and where your winners will come from !!

Or else

Go tell it to the marines,

or Go take a long walk off a short pier,

or let me put it to you bluntly - Go get stuffed

ROFLMAO

It does not much matter at all whether you are selling kachang puteh or a high roller.

It does not much matter at all whether you are selling kachang puteh or a high roller.

It does not much matter whether you are a treasure hunter, gambling, trading, investing or running a business (big or selling kachang puteh). All of them entail a fair degree of risk and a lot of hard work sprinkled with a generous helping of luck.

Zero-Sum Game

Zero-Sum Game

Zero-Sum Game

Poker and gambling are popular examples of zero-sum games since the sum of the amounts won by some players equals the combined losses of the others. In game theory, the game of “Matching Pennies” is often cited as an example of a zero-sum game. ... This is a zero-sum game because one player's gain is the other's loss.

Zero-sum is a situation in game theory in which one person's gain is equivalent to another's loss, so the net change in wealth or benefit is zero. A zero-sum game may have as few as two players, or millions of participants. Zero-sum games are found in game theory, but are less common than non-zero sum games.

In contrast, non-zero-sum describes a situation in which the interacting parties' aggregate gains and losses can be less than or more than zero. A zero-sum game is also called a strictly competitive game while non-zero-sum games can be either competitive or non-competitive.

All the World's a Stage

The meaning of this phrase is that this world is like a stage show, and all human beings are merely actors.

Jacques has spoken this famous phrase in Act-II, Scene-VII of the play As You Like It. He says, “All the world's a stage,/ And all the men and women merely players.” The meaning of this phrase is that this world is like a stage show, and all human beings are merely actors.
