Kranji Friday 15th June 2018.

Selections from Larry Foley

race 1: class 5 - 1100m (polytrack) time: 13:20 prize money: s$20000

5 - KUBERA'S CHIEF - Drawn wide but can go forward and lead and in this a very long way.
1 - DOMINY - Drawn wide and longterm maiden status a concern but ready to win and goes close.
2 - PARKER - Form reads terribly and prefers longer on the turf but drops in grade and could easily show up in this field.

race 2: class 4 non premier - 1200m (polytrack) time: 13:50 prize money: s$45000

2 - KEY SUCCESS - Resuming and having first start for Donna Logan. Has pace, maiden win on this surface and recent trial good enough for this.
5 - LUCKY SIX - Very disappointing last start with support but gets his chance with J Powell to ride.
3 - RUM N RAISINS - Never involved from wide gate last start but best work late and form prior has him under notice from better alley.

race 3: class 4 non premier - 1600m course c (sc) (turf track) time: 14:20 prize money: s$45000

2 - LITTLE MASTER - In form, recent trial looked easy and can win in what is a very suitable affair.
6 - MOMENT OF JUSTICE - Ran on well against the bias last start and looks ready to win with a handy 3kg claim.
1 - JUSTICE LASS - Eye-catching effort late last start and that bodes well for a big run over a more suitable trip.

race 4: irt juvenile stakes open 2yo (2 year old) (condition weight) (3rd leg singapore golden horseshoe series) (rider allowances not permitted) - 1200m course c (sc) (turf track) time: 14:55 prize money: s$90000

7 - LIM'S LIGHTNING - Drawn awkwardly but made an eye-catching debut in Novice Company and that form should hold up here.
13 - STREETWISE - Wide draw a concern but was on par with stablemate Pennywise at the trials and that form has been franked. Keep safe.
8 - MAKKEM LAD - Drawn wide but ran on very well late on debut and could be hard to hold out with with tongue-tie added.

race 5: class 4 premier - 1200m (polytrack) time: 15:30 prize money: s$60000

1 - ARR FLAIR - In terrific form and hard to hold out with Curatolo up from gate 4.
9 - MASTER OF MALIBU - Forget last start on the turf as has a good Poly record and can win this.
2 - LIFE IS GAMBLE - Showed enough last start in better Company to follow in Class 4 with tongue-tie added.

race 6: class 5 - 1600m course c (sc) (turf track) time: 16:00 prize money: s$20000

1 - CHAIRMAN WIND - Significant drop in Class given he jumped and won as the even money favourite the last time he was in this Company (and trip). Big show.
2 - MILLION ROUND - Tested this trip but grew wings late late last start and happy to follow dropping to Class 5.
3 - NEO'S CLASSIC - Disappointing with support last start in this Class over 1400m but wins races like this without surprising and pay to keep safe.

race 7: class 2 - 1600m course c (sc) (turf track) time: 16:30 prize money: s$100000

1 - KINGSMAN - Big effort when running on to just miss last start and hard to hold out from gate 1 over the mile.
9 - YULONG XIONG HU - Very promising type who has form around some very good horses and hard to hold out.
6 - WINNING CAUSE - Did it tough enough last start to forgive just fair effort and take on form prior.

race 8: class 3 - 1100m (polytrack) time: 17:00 prize money: s$80000

2 - DUTROW - Won (albeit in the Protest Room) last start and gets the favours form gate 1 so pay to follow.
1 - HIMALAYA DRAGON - Always a winning show in race like this and looked well held at recent trial so must go close.
6 - FILIBUSTER - Made all the running before finding it too tough late as the odds-on elect last start but winkers added and will go close.

race 9: kranji stakes c (set weights) - 1600m (polytrack) time: 17:30 prize money: s$80000

6 - LIM'S ARCHER - Placed at Group level over 1700m two starts back after back to-back wins and can win on the back of solid first up effort.
2 - MCGREGOR - Placed in good Company last start and this trip and track is very suitable. Can win.
4 - TARGET - Wide gate always a concern but in super form and can go forward and give a big sight with handy 4kg claim.

race 10: class 3 - 1400m course c (sc) (turf track) time: 18:00 prize money: s$80000

4 - SKY ROCKET - Progressive type who looks like winning in this Company sooner than later and gets his chance here,
2 - DARCI CHARMER - Had excuses last start not to win and that form has held up. Big show.
1 - LUCKY STRIDE - Ran on well through traffic to be in the mix last start in similar affair and should figure here.

Go tell it to the to the marines

Do think about it and do think rationally, long and very hard about it - If you can genuinely tell me that you really know when and where your winners will come from !!

Or else

Go tell it to the marines,

or Go take a long walk off a short pier,

or let me put it to you bluntly - Go get stuffed

ROFLMAO

It does not much matter at all whether you are selling kachang puteh or a high roller.

It does not much matter at all whether you are selling kachang puteh or a high roller.

It does not much matter whether you are a treasure hunter, gambling, trading, investing or running a business (big or selling kachang puteh). All of them entail a fair degree of risk and a lot of hard work sprinkled with a generous helping of luck.

Zero-Sum Game

Zero-Sum Game

Zero-Sum Game

Poker and gambling are popular examples of zero-sum games since the sum of the amounts won by some players equals the combined losses of the others. In game theory, the game of “Matching Pennies” is often cited as an example of a zero-sum game. ... This is a zero-sum game because one player's gain is the other's loss.

Zero-sum is a situation in game theory in which one person's gain is equivalent to another's loss, so the net change in wealth or benefit is zero. A zero-sum game may have as few as two players, or millions of participants. Zero-sum games are found in game theory, but are less common than non-zero sum games.

In contrast, non-zero-sum describes a situation in which the interacting parties' aggregate gains and losses can be less than or more than zero. A zero-sum game is also called a strictly competitive game while non-zero-sum games can be either competitive or non-competitive.

All the World's a Stage

The meaning of this phrase is that this world is like a stage show, and all human beings are merely actors.

Jacques has spoken this famous phrase in Act-II, Scene-VII of the play As You Like It. He says, “All the world's a stage,/ And all the men and women merely players.” The meaning of this phrase is that this world is like a stage show, and all human beings are merely actors.
