Kranji Friday 28th September 2018. -
Selections from Larry Foley of https://kranjiracing.com

race 1: class 5 - 1000m (polytrack) time: 18:20 prize money: s$20000

5 - CASSIS OOLONG - Hard to fault winning form of late and must be considered a serious threat in a race with no depth.
9 - GOOD BET - Not the type to win out of turn but excuses for only poor run of late and goes close in the field.
2 - MILLION ROUND - Never involved last start after tardy jump but will win soon in this company and gate 1 can't hurt.

race 2: selangor turf club trophy restricted maiden (2 and 3 year old) (weight for age) - 1600m course d (lc) (turf track) time: 18:50 prize money: s$85000

12 - STREET PARTY - Showed more than enough at two career starts to think he is hard to beat in this with winkers added on the back of a nice trial.
1 - CENTENARY DIAMOND - Improving with racing suited over the mile and hard to hold out with slight gear change.
5 - JUPITER DRAGON - Form reads only fair but will find this easier than last start and run on well enough to think the mile is ideal. Can win.

race 3: penang turf club trophy class 4 non premier - 1000m (polytrack) time: 19:25 prize money: s$45000

1 - LONHRO GOLD - Has pace and in the mix from wide gates at his last two runs so can win from barrier 1.
5 - TARO SAN - Disappointing last start but has trialled well subsequently and must be respected sans blinkers with 4kg claim.
3 - CERDAN - Nothing last start but will appreciate dropping back to Class 4 and this trip suits. Keep safe with 4kg claim a factor.

race 4: perak turf club trophy maiden - 1600m (polytrack) time: 20:00 prize money: s$20000

2 - CASH IS KING - Did it tough an ran on well last start in similar affair and must go close here from gate 2.
1 - ACCUMULATION - Had everything covered bar the winner last start and goes close again with luck from wide gate.
3 - MAI DARKO - Something had to amiss when showing nothing when pressure went on last start bit worth another look with Duric up.

race 5: jockey club of turkey trophy open maiden (weight for age) - 1100m (polytrack) time: 20:35 prize money: s$20000

1 - CONSERVATION - Resuming sans blinkers after hanging out badly last start. Wide gate will test but trials suggest a solid run.
2 - GROUND ATTACK - Did everything wrong last start (bad start, hung out baldy, lame) when putting in a shocker as even money favourite but worth another chance.
9 - MOUNT BROMO - Trials good enough to make a statement on debut with market best guide.

race 6: the mauritius turf club trophy class 5 - 1600m (polytrack) time: 21:10 prize money: s$20000

1 - ANGHIARI - Never got a clear run in straight and pulled up lame so forget last start and wins on form prior with 4kg claim a factor.
2 - GANNET - Ran on super to finish third last start (jockey weighed in light, officially last) and can win this with 53kg to carry.
8 - KASHAN - Form reads terribly but blew the start and his chances last start when blinkers added and happy to give another chance.

race 7: class 4 premier - 1400m course d (lc) (turf track) time: 21:45 prize money: s$60000

9 - OUR PINNACLE - Battled away and just missed a placing on Singapore debut. Trialled soundly since and gets blinkers. Should be running on with Michael Rodd to ride.
3 - OCULIST - Won twice in Australia before arrival and despite being well supported at past two Singapore outings has only battled. Sent back to trials after breaking through gates last start and doing laps riderless. If on best behaviour well up to this class.
8 - TOP KNIGHT - Ran on well from wide gate to win Maiden this trip. Rises 3.5kg but shows promise and should be running on.

race 8: class 4 non premier - 1400m course d (lc) (turf track) time: 22:20 prize money: s$45000

5 - ATTENTION - Maiden who had excuses last start and gives every indication that he can win stepping up to 1400m.
2 - SMOOTH OPERATOR - Battled away on the Poly last start but this trip and track is his caper and hard to beat.
8 - SATELLITE WARRIOR - Broke maiden status in fine style in similar affair last start and pay to follow from gate 4.

Go tell it to the to the marines

Do think about it and do think rationally, long and very hard about it - If you can genuinely tell me that you really know when and where your winners will come from !!

Or else

Go tell it to the marines,

or Go take a long walk off a short pier,

or let me put it to you bluntly - Go get stuffed

ROFLMAO

It does not much matter at all whether you are selling kachang puteh or a high roller.

It does not much matter at all whether you are selling kachang puteh or a high roller.

It does not much matter whether you are a treasure hunter, gambling, trading, investing or running a business (big or selling kachang puteh). All of them entail a fair degree of risk and a lot of hard work sprinkled with a generous helping of luck.

Zero-Sum Game

Zero-Sum Game

Zero-Sum Game

Poker and gambling are popular examples of zero-sum games since the sum of the amounts won by some players equals the combined losses of the others. In game theory, the game of “Matching Pennies” is often cited as an example of a zero-sum game. ... This is a zero-sum game because one player's gain is the other's loss.

Zero-sum is a situation in game theory in which one person's gain is equivalent to another's loss, so the net change in wealth or benefit is zero. A zero-sum game may have as few as two players, or millions of participants. Zero-sum games are found in game theory, but are less common than non-zero sum games.

In contrast, non-zero-sum describes a situation in which the interacting parties' aggregate gains and losses can be less than or more than zero. A zero-sum game is also called a strictly competitive game while non-zero-sum games can be either competitive or non-competitive.

All the World's a Stage

The meaning of this phrase is that this world is like a stage show, and all human beings are merely actors.

Jacques has spoken this famous phrase in Act-II, Scene-VII of the play As You Like It. He says, “All the world's a stage,/ And all the men and women merely players.” The meaning of this phrase is that this world is like a stage show, and all human beings are merely actors.
