Larry Foley selections for Kranji Friday 31st August 2018

Larry Foley selections for Kranji Friday 31st August 2018

race 1: class 5 - 1000m (polytrack) time: 18:20 prize money: s$20000

3 - WITHOUT PREJUDICE - Outclassed last start but drops to Class 5 and has the pace to win this with blinkers off.
2 - RAPTOR - Maiden who is due and will figure somewhere late.
8 - HIGH STREET - Did it tough last start so effort late was good enough to consider in this field with blinkers added from gate 2.

race 2: open maiden (weight for age) - 1100m (polytrack) time: 18:50 prize money: s$20000

1 - GROUND ATTACK - Has ability and wins soon but does have a tendency to hang out on the bend which has been costly.
4 - THOMAS DE LAGO - Found form and did it tough enough last start to think he can win with gate 4 a factor.
6 - LORD JUSTICE - Winner to good at his debut but effort to place was honest and expect much the same again.

race 3: class 4 non premier - 1700m (polytrack) time: 19:20 prize money: s$45000

2 - OCULIST - Needs a result for the support he gets but in form and gets his chance from gate 3.
7 - HAPPY SAGA - Swooper who ran on well over 1200m last start and better suited over the mile. Big show if race run to suit.
6 - MATSURIBAYASHI - In form and just missed on the Poly two back and hard to hold out late in this field.

race 4: kranji stakes d (set weights) - 1600m (polytrack) time: 19:50 prize money: s$38000

6 - VESONTIO - In solid form in Class 4, handles the Poly and gets his chance in what is more suitable company.
1 - INTROIT - Maiden having first start on the Poly but trials well and race form good enough to win with gate 3 a factor.
10 - OLIVER - Drawn wide but gets blinkers and would be a show if ridden forward.

race 5: kranji stakes b (set weights) - 1600m (polytrack) time: 20:20 prize money: s$100000

5 - DICTON - Won with the proverbial in the air this trip and track last start and hard to beat on a repeat of that effort.
3 - MCGREGOR - In very solid form and just missed this trip and track two starts back so can follow with gate 1 a bonus.
9 - MR DUJARDIN - Very progressive stayer having first start on the Poly but has to be a show on form from gate 2 with best work expected late.

race 6: class 5 - 1700m (polytrack) time: 20:50 prize money: s$20000

4 - NEO'S CLASSIC - Never involved from wide gate last start and gets his chance from the ace with handy 3kg claim.
3 - SILENT ARROW - Last win was in 2016 but thereabouts of late and could show up.
5 - BERLINETTA - Drawn wide but hard to fault winning form of late and has to be considered.

race 7: kranji stakes c (2) (set weights) - 1200m (polytrack) time: 21:20 prize money: s$80000

2 - JULIUS CAESAR - Ran on super last start over 1000m and could be hard to hold out.
1 - DUTROW - Will find this easier than last start and will appreciate being back on the Poly with 4kg claimer. Goes close.
4 - BAFFERT - Resuming with nice trial under his belt and wins a race like this without surprising with gate 1 a bonus.

race 8: kranji stakes c (1) (set weights) - 1200m (polytrack) time: 21:50 prize money: s$80000

1 - FLAK JACKET - In form, company suits and can win with gate 3 a factor.
5 - RIVER GOLDEN - In form and gets blinkers added on the back of a good trial so has to be considered.
4 - YULONG MEDAL - Group winner from Australia who had been trying over longer before arrival but local trial suggests he gives this a shake.

race 9: class 4 non premier - 1100m (polytrack) time: 22:20 prize money: s$45000

3 - IMPERIUM - Blew the start before running on super late against the bias at his most recent run and hard to hold out in this field.
10 - KING OF WAR - Super honest and obviously due but yet to win at 10 starts in 2018 a concern.
4 - SOLDADO - Refuses to run a bad race but refuses to win but does get blinkers.

Go tell it to the to the marines

Do think about it and do think rationally, long and very hard about it - If you can genuinely tell me that you really know when and where your winners will come from !!

Or else

Go tell it to the marines,

or Go take a long walk off a short pier,

or let me put it to you bluntly - Go get stuffed

ROFLMAO

It does not much matter at all whether you are selling kachang puteh or a high roller.

It does not much matter at all whether you are selling kachang puteh or a high roller.

It does not much matter whether you are a treasure hunter, gambling, trading, investing or running a business (big or selling kachang puteh). All of them entail a fair degree of risk and a lot of hard work sprinkled with a generous helping of luck.

Zero-Sum Game

Zero-Sum Game

Zero-Sum Game

Poker and gambling are popular examples of zero-sum games since the sum of the amounts won by some players equals the combined losses of the others. In game theory, the game of “Matching Pennies” is often cited as an example of a zero-sum game. ... This is a zero-sum game because one player's gain is the other's loss.

Zero-sum is a situation in game theory in which one person's gain is equivalent to another's loss, so the net change in wealth or benefit is zero. A zero-sum game may have as few as two players, or millions of participants. Zero-sum games are found in game theory, but are less common than non-zero sum games.

In contrast, non-zero-sum describes a situation in which the interacting parties' aggregate gains and losses can be less than or more than zero. A zero-sum game is also called a strictly competitive game while non-zero-sum games can be either competitive or non-competitive.

All the World's a Stage

The meaning of this phrase is that this world is like a stage show, and all human beings are merely actors.

Jacques has spoken this famous phrase in Act-II, Scene-VII of the play As You Like It. He says, “All the world's a stage,/ And all the men and women merely players.” The meaning of this phrase is that this world is like a stage show, and all human beings are merely actors.
